Howtobeanastronaut is an electronic music project by the Italian Federico De Falco, born 1995. His influences come from post-rock as well as from various genres of electronica, making his sound flows through strong, glitched beats and smooth, airy synths, as the result of analogue and digital combination.
His first official work, Mechanical Antithesis, is a 4-tracks EP, distributed by the Italian label ARIAM Records, which was published in the October of 2015, few months after the project kicked off. The EP received very positive feedbacks from various well-known Italian webzines just like Rockit.it, Music Coast to Coast, A New Hope Webzine etc.
Mechanical Antithesis was worth the presence with live sets during 2016 at festivals and events, among others, such as In Winter Time 2 (alongside some of the most important Italian electronic artists like Jolly Mare, Godblesscomputers, M+A, Capibara); 2016 edition of Disorder and Segnali Music Fest, sharing the stage with Dardust.

With his debut EP on SYNTHEKE records, Howtobeanastronaut explore atmosphere that marked him out as one to watch in Italy about 2017 and 2018, perfectly underscored by the heartbreaking beauty of the EP name.

The result is this release: right balance between dub, downtempo, techno and noise.
